A few weeks ago my husband and I needed to get away. When covid-19 struck early this year, all of our travel plans were ruined. With that being said, we've been home and going a little stir crazy. We decided to drive 2.5 hours for our little covidcation in Michigan! Check out some of our highlights and favorite spots!
Drinks Journeyman Distillery: We participated in their spirits tasting and tour, let me warn you...eat before the tasting! Their tasting included a variety of vodka, whiskey and gin. Followed by the spirit tasting and tour was lunch! Lunch was delicious and the service was great! They also have an 18 hole putting green that looked like a lot of fun.

Round Barn Estate Winery: After our tour and lunch at Journeyman's, we drove about 20 minutes to Round Barn winery. Round barn has a wide selection of wines with a few items on their beer and spirits menu. We sat back and relaxed while listening to their live band. We also enjoyed walking down the actual vineyard which was cool!
Silver Harbor Brewery: Okay, this brewery is so good! There isn't one beer that I didn't dislike. I even tried a dark beer (usually not a fan of darker beers) and I LOVED it! Highly recommend this brewery, the food was also good.

Stay
The Inn at Harbor Shores: We chose this hotel because it was one of the 'nicer' hotels in St. Joseph. We enjoyed their pool and onsite restaurant. The best part is their free shuttle which will take you around St. Joseph!

Eats
During our weekend we ate at many places: Journeyman's Distillery, Silver Harbor Brewery and Planks Tavern on the Water (connected to our hotel). However our favorite meal was breakfast at The Mason Jar Cafe. Hands down the best breakfast ever! I totally forgot to take a picture of the pancake, but their pancakes are the best!

So these were just a few places around Baroda and St. Joseph, MI. I highly recommend making a visit to these places if you get the chance!
Hope you enjoyed a Dose of DeLuca - weekend getaway
